TownIt: Capital Grill Naples Florida – ^
The Capital Grille, a national steak house restaurant, is coming to The Mercato in North Naples.
The restaurant’s 8,000-square-foot, freestanding building at the center on the northeast corner of U.S. 41 North and Vanderbilt Beach Road is set to open at the end of this month(september 2008).
The Atlanta-based chain offers “dry-aged, hand-cut beef, fresh seafood flown in daily, chef’s seasonal specials and an extensive, award-winning wine list …in an atmosphere of relaxed elegance,” according to a statement released by The Lutgert Cos., which is developing The Mercato with the Barron Collier Cos.
“Capital Grille is the top of the steak house chains nationwide,” said Dougall McCorkle, Lutgert senior vice president of commercial real estate. “(It is) tops in terms of its reputation for quality and for stature. You couldn’t ask for a better flag at the front of your project than Capital Grille.”
The Naples location will be the 32nd Capital Grille in the United States.
The Mercato is a residential and commercial development on 53 acres. It will include nearly 330,000 square feet of retail and restaurants including Whole Foods Market, as well as 140,000 square feet of office space and 175 residential units. It is scheduled to open in early 2009, with Whole Foods opening this fall. (Source: Naples News, March 10, 2008)
