TownIt: Mina Hemingway’s Florida Book Store - ^
Mina Hemingway is the granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway. She was born in Kenya and grew up in Tanzania, Africa. After returning to the states with her father Patrick Hemingway at the age of fourteen, Mina continued her education in Montana. Mina attended and majored in cartography at South West Texas State University.
Mina has worked as a key representative in creating a traveling exhibit representing Ernest Hemingway opening in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Osaka, Japan. Mina has worked as spokeswomen for the IGFA World Fishing Center and has served as a director for the Ernest Hemingway Flats Fishing Tournament. Mina has represented the Hemingway family during the presentation of the Hemingway Pen Award at the Kennedy Library, and has presented awards at the Kansas City Star on behalf of the family. She has also served as a Director of the Ernest Hemingway Writing Competitions.
Her book store offers a wide assortment of NEW and USED books, newspapers (US and German), magazines (US and German), on demand publishing, coffee and snacks and a Psychic Fair every Saturday.
