TownIt: Collier County Museum - ^
Naples: The Naples site is the flagship museum with in-depth exhibitions about the history of Florida and the County. Enjoy a stroll around the museum’s five-acre botanical park complete with a native plant garden, orchid house, two early Naples cottages, a logging locomotive, swamp buggies and even a WWII Sherman tank. The Museum is located just five minutes east of downtown Naples at the Government Center.
Everglades City: A showcase for the rich and colorful history of the region, the museum displays artifacts and photographs telling the story of 2,000 years of human habitation in southwest Everglades. This lush environment shaped the lives of all who came here: ancient Calusa, Seminole, pioneer and entrepreneur.
Immokalee: The Immokalee Pioneer Museum at Roberts Ranch is the newest addition to the County Government’s system of museums. The 15-acre site vividly recalls the story of cattle ranching, one of the region’s oldest industries and portrays daily life on an authentic early twentieth century pioneer homestead.
